Yes, Freshrelease supports webhooks via workflow configurations. You can trigger a webhook to an external system whenever users update the status of an item. We are also working a generic webhook capability that works based on various other events and not just item status updates.
To add a webhook,
1. Create new or edit an existing workflow
2. Click on the lightning icon (transition rules) for any transition step
3. Scroll to "Actions to perform" section > add new trigger webhook action
